Fair Feedback
Dear CWS Teachers, Students, Parents, and Greater Community,
This is a letter of immense gratitude to everyone who contributed, however big or small, to our wonderful Annual School Fair. The words “it takes a village …” could not be truer.
Saturday, 12th October, saw the culmination of the incredibly dedicated work of so many - from prize making, Zip Line building to decor creating, cooking and so much more. We were also blessed with absolutely perfect weather! We had all the ingredients needed for a fabulous day.
With our wonderful Class 5 parents, teacher, and children at the wheel of this wild ride, we were in safe hands as they brought the theme ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ to life. It was an immense team effort, working together, to make this vision a reality.
A school fair is a very special event that provides the opportunity of bringing our community together while gifting us with the possibility of sharing, learning, and discovering wonderful new things along the way.
This year was a true triumph of this ideal. Walking through this amazing day I experienced the qualities of joy, love, appreciation, and laughter. There was such an overwhelming feeling of goodwill amongst the crowd.
Every single class brought so much to their stalls; it was an inspiration to behold.
I felt so proud of our school.
Not only was it a huge success and achievement in spirit and community but we also raised a profit of R165,572.00! A truly amazing figure. The details of how we will share this will be communicated to your classes in the next few days.
Thank you to Class 5, the admin team, parents, teachers, and our dedicated ground staff. This day simply would not have been possible without all your hard work.
In gratitude,
Sam Brown
