Our U11 Girls participated in the U11 Girls Football Series last week, which was hosted by The Grove Primary School. With a number of the team ill, the girls played all three of their matches with a player missing. The girls did not disappoint! They drew all three of their matches. Even though they could not get a win on the day, our young girls showed a great account of themselves.
On the other side of the peninsula, the U13 Girls continued their impressive season and beat Sun Valley Primary School 7 - 1 in an away game. This is their 4th win of the term, and scoring 11 goals in their last two games. The girls play their last game of the term today against Wynberg Girls Junior School, in Wynberg, before they head off to The Grove Primary School’s U13 Girls Fundraiser Tournament for the Red Cross Memorial Hospital on Friday 6th September.
Yesterday the U13 boys travelled to Pinehurst Primary School where they were the 6 – 1 victors. Their next encounter is a match against St George’s Primary School before they host the inaugural U13 Boys Football Challenge on Saturday 7th September. Seven other schools will be taking part; Zenzeleni Waldorf School, Stellenbosch Waldorf School, Cedar House, Ukhanyo Primary School, The Grove Primary School, The American International School of Cape Town and Constantia Primary School.
Later today, the U11 Boys will be hosting Zenzeleni Waldorf School, Ukhanyo Primary School, and The Grove Primary School in a Mini U11 Football Challenge. We wish the boys all the best today.
Congratulations!
