Class 9 Plays - The Two Gentlemen of Verona

Sports News

On Friday, August 16th, we hosted the U11 Girls Football Series, welcoming enthusiastic young footballing girls to our lovely campus. Our team demonstrated great skill and determination, winning one match, drawing two, and losing one - a near-perfect tournament performance from our girls.

On Monday the U11 boys traveled to Rondebosch for a challenging match against St Joseph's Marist College, securing a 3-1 victory. This win sets them up well for their next challenge, the U11 Boys Football Challenge, which will take place here at school next week.

Our High School Girls faced a tough opponent on Wednesday at Claremont High School, who were runners-up in the Rustenburg Girls Championships Cup in April. Despite a strong start, where the girls were able to hold Claremont to a 1-0 lead at halftime, our girls eventually lost the contest 3-1. A great performance from the girls despite not getting the result they would have liked.

Our U13 teams fared better on Thursday as both the girls and the boys played away matches at Reddam House Constantia and The Grove Primary School. The girls returned with an impressive 4-0 win against Reddam, whilst the boys, had a tougher match, and The Grove emerged victorious with a 2-1 win, continuing their excellent season. Their next match is against St George’s Primary School away, followed by the Inaugural Constantia Waldorf School U13 Boys’ Football Challenge on Saturday 7 September.

He scored an average of 9.1 over 4 disciplines. This qualified him to compete at the Western Cape Championships, held on 18 August at The Shed in Stellenbosch. Here he scored an average of 8,9, earning himself a Silver Medal and getting him his Western Province Colours.
